We run LinkedIn DM automation for clients every day, alongside cold email — so unlike most "best tools" listicles, this comparison is written from the operator seat: what each tool costs at 10–20 senders, how its safety architecture actually works, and which limits you can really run without getting accounts restricted. If you're still deciding whether LinkedIn belongs in your mix at all, start with our cold email vs LinkedIn head-to-head; if you want the combined playbook, that's here. Pricing below was verified against vendor pricing pages in July 2026.
| Tool | List price | Architecture | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| HeyReach | $79/sender/mo ($63 annual); Agency $999/mo for 25 senders | Cloud; bring-your-own proxies on Agency | Agencies & multi-sender teams |
| Expandi | $99/seat/mo ($79 annual); agency custom at 10+ seats | Cloud; dedicated country-based IP per account | Safety-first teams |
| La Growth Machine | €60–120/identity/mo; agency from 6 identities | Cloud; dedicated 5G mobile proxies | True multichannel (adds calls + X) |
| Waalaxy | €19–69/user/mo (−50% yearly) | Browser-extension based | Solo operators on a budget |
| Dripify | $59–99/user/mo ($39–79 annual) | Cloud; local IP per account | SMB teams wanting published quotas |
Lemlist ($87/user/mo annual, Multichannel plan) also automates LinkedIn visits, invites, and voice messages — but as steps inside an email-first sequencer, not as a dedicated LinkedIn platform. If email is your primary channel and LinkedIn is a touch, see our cold email software comparison instead.
Every tool on this list operates inside the same ceiling: LinkedIn caps connection requests at roughly 100 per week across Free, Premium, and Sales Navigator accounts — a limit in place since its 2021–22 anti-spam push. Healthy, aged accounts with strong acceptance rates can reportedly stretch toward 200/week; new or flagged accounts get less. Two dynamics matter more than the headline number:
Read tool marketing against this reality. Dripify — credit to them for publishing numbers at all — advertises up to 75 connection requests/day on Pro, which is 375–525/week: 3–5× what LinkedIn enforces. Those are usable ceilings for mixed action types, not safe defaults. In practice we configure 15–20 invites/day, 5 days a week, per sender — under the cap with margin for manual activity.
HeyReach's model is per-sender pricing with genuinely multi-account architecture: one workspace, unlimited senders (each billed), and a unified inbox across all senders — the feature that decides whether managing 15 client accounts is a job or a nightmare. Growth runs $79/sender/mo ($63 annual). The Agency plan is $999/mo ($799 annual) for 25 senders included, scaling to 50, with white label, 1,000 enrichment credits, and bring-your-own-proxies.
The breakeven math nobody publishes: on annual billing, the Agency plan beats per-sender Growth pricing from ~13 senders. At 20 senders you're at ~$40/sender; at 25, ~$32 — half to a third of every competitor's list price. Add native Instantly and Smartlead integrations plus an API and webhooks, and it slots directly into the Clay-to-sequencer pipelines we build (see our advanced Clay workflows, where email non-responders flow into HeyReach campaigns). This is the tool we reach for on multi-sender programs.
Expandi's pitch is account safety: cloud-based execution, a dedicated country-based IP per account, gradual profile warm-up, and algorithmic limit ranges rather than fixed quotas. Feature-wise it covers multichannel sequences (connect → message → email), event-invite and group campaigns, and image/GIF personalization (a paid add-on). List price is $99/seat/mo ($79 annual); agency pricing is custom from 10 seats with volume discounts and a dedicated CSM — so the real per-seat number at scale depends on negotiation, with a $790–1,580/mo list baseline at 10–20 seats.
Choose Expandi when the accounts you're automating are precious — founder profiles, senior sellers with years of history — and the marginal safety architecture is worth list price over HeyReach's scale economics.
LGM prices per "identity" (one LinkedIn profile): Basic €60/mo (LinkedIn + email), Pro €120/mo (adds a calls channel and rotating sending inboxes), Ultimate (adds X/Twitter, HubSpot/Pipedrive sync, and a dedicated AM at 4+ identities). Agency plans start at 6 identities with discounted rates. It's the only tool in this cohort that puts calls and X/Twitter inside the same sequence as LinkedIn and email, plus voice messages and AI copy.
Safety architecture is distinctive too: 100% cloud with dedicated 5G mobile proxies — mobile IPs are harder to fingerprint than datacenter ranges. The trade-off is cost: ~€1,200/mo for 10 identities on Pro before agency discounts, the priciest per seat here. Worth it if your motion genuinely uses three or four channels; overkill if you run LinkedIn + email only.
Waalaxy is the freemium-led volume play: €19/user/mo Starter (300 invites/month), €49 Advanced (800 invites/month, API, Make/Zapier/n8n), €69 Business (adds cold email sequences) — with 50% off yearly. Note its quotas are framed monthly: 300–800 invites/month is 75–200/week, i.e., paced at or above LinkedIn's cap only at the top tier. Two caveats for serious use: it's browser-extension-based rather than cloud (your machine, your IP, your session), and the LinkedIn inbox is a paid add-on — the "inbox tax" that unified-inbox tools like HeyReach bundle. Team analytics exist, but there's no white label. Right choice for a solo founder testing the channel; wrong choice for an agency.
Dripify ($59/$79/$99 monthly; $39/$59/$79 annual) is a cloud tool with a local IP per account and the only published quota table in the cohort: 75 connection requests/day and 100+ messages/day on Pro and up. Multi-team management arrives only on Advanced ($79/mo annual — $790/mo for 10 seats), and there's no white label. It's a solid SMB pick, but for agency work the per-seat price matches Expandi's annual rate without the dedicated-IP architecture, and beats neither HeyReach's economics nor its unified inbox.
| Senders | HeyReach | Expandi (list, annual) | LGM Pro | Dripify Advanced (annual) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 5 | $315/mo (Growth annual) | $395/mo | €600/mo | $395/mo |
| 10 | $630/mo (Growth annual) | $790/mo (custom quote likely lower) | €1,200/mo | $790/mo |
| 20 | $799/mo (Agency annual ≈ $40/seat) | $1,580/mo list | €2,400/mo | $1,580/mo |
| 25 | $799/mo (≈ $32/seat) | custom | custom | custom |

One honesty note: nearly all published LinkedIn benchmarks — including the ones above — come from automation vendors, not LinkedIn. Treat them as directional and run your own cohort math.
Yes — LinkedIn's User Agreement prohibits third-party automation, and enforcement is real (temporary feature restrictions of 1–3 weeks are typical for overage). The tools above mitigate risk with cloud execution, dedicated IPs, and human-like pacing, but the risk is never zero. Keep volumes conservative, personalize requests, and never run automation on an account whose loss you can't absorb.
LinkedIn enforces roughly 100 invites per week (up to ~200 for aged, high-trust accounts). We configure 15–20/day across 5 days per sender — under the cap with headroom — and treat acceptance rate under 30% as a stop-and-fix signal, since LinkedIn tightens limits dynamically for low-acceptance accounts.
Yes. Cloud tools (HeyReach, Expandi, LGM, Dripify) run from a stable dedicated IP with no software on your machine, and work while your laptop is closed. Extension tools (Waalaxy; Lemlist's LinkedIn steps) run through your own browser session — cheaper, but activity patterns are tied to your machine and uptime. For client accounts, we only use cloud tools.
HeyReach has the deepest pipeline story: native Instantly and Smartlead integrations plus API/webhooks, so Clay can push enriched, scored leads straight into LinkedIn campaigns — the exact pattern in our Clay + n8n guide. Waalaxy Advanced exposes an API with Make/Zapier/n8n; LGM syncs HubSpot/Pipedrive on Ultimate; Expandi and Dripify integrate via webhooks/Zapier.
At that size the per-seat gaps are small ($130–240/mo total either way), so choose on workflow: Expandi if account safety is the worry, HeyReach if you expect to add senders (its pricing scales best), Waalaxy if budget rules. Revisit at 10+ senders — that's where HeyReach's Agency plan changes the math entirely.
