TL;DR
- Agencies: HeyReach. It publishes flat Agency ($999/mo) and Unlimited ($2,999/mo) tiers with white-label and free client seats.
- Small teams: close on price. HeyReach lists $79 per sender monthly, Expandi $99 per month for a seat.
- Expandi's edge: native HubSpot, Salesforce and Pipedrive, and email follow-ups inside sequences.
- HeyReach's edge: voice notes, a Clay integration, an MCP server and unlimited-sender pricing.
- Neither lists Close CRM and neither publishes numeric daily safety limits.
HeyReach and Expandi are the two LinkedIn automation tools we are asked about most. Both run connection requests, messages and follow-ups for you, and both sit in the same price range for one account. They split on how they scale: HeyReach is built around many senders, while Expandi is built around a single seat with an agency tier bolted on.
We already compared four tools in our best LinkedIn automation tools roundup and covered cost in the HeyReach pricing and Expandi pricing guides. This post is the direct head-to-head.
Sourcing note: details come from HeyReach's and Expandi's own pricing, homepage and integrations pages, read in October 2026. Vendor pages change often, so confirm prices before buying. Claims from competitors' blogs and review sites are marked (directional) or left out.
The Short Answer
Choose HeyReach if you run several LinkedIn accounts, work for clients, or want voice notes and Clay in the stack. Choose Expandi if you run one or a few accounts and want native Salesforce or Pipedrive sync. For a single account the price gap is small enough that features should decide.

Pricing and Billing Model
HeyReach counts a “sender” as one LinkedIn account. Growth is listed at $79 per sender per month, $71 on quarterly billing and $63 on yearly billing. Teammates, VAs and clients do not take paid seats. The Agency tier covers 25 or 50 senders from $799 to $999 a month depending on billing cycle, and Unlimited runs up to 300 senders under a fair-use policy.
Expandi lists a Business plan at $99 a month, with 20% off on annual billing. Its page talks about “seats for your LinkedIn accounts” rather than per-account pricing, so treat it as per seat. Its Agency plan starts at 10+ seats and is quoted through sales.
Safety, Proxies and Limits
Expandi says it is cloud-based, with a dedicated country-based IP, automatic profile warm-up and smart daily limits. HeyReach's Growth plan includes a dedicated residential proxy per sender and enforces per-sender daily limits; Agency and Unlimited customers bring their own proxies or arrange a custom setup. Competitor blogs make claims about bans and IPs for both tools, but they sell rival products, so we treat them as (directional) and do not rely on them.
The honest position: neither vendor publishes exact daily caps on the pages we read, and no tool makes automation risk-free. Start low, ramp over weeks, and keep a recovery plan. Our guides on LinkedIn outreach limits and recovering a restricted account cover this.
Sequences, Voice Notes and Email
Both support unlimited campaigns, conditional logic and a combined inbox. HeyReach's sequences cover connection requests, messages, follow-ups, voice notes and profile views, with an “If Connected” condition. Email steps run through its Instantly, Smartlead and EmailBison integrations rather than a built-in sender. Expandi uses an If/Action builder with engagement actions between follow-ups and email follow-ups inside sequences. Image, GIF and video personalization are paid add-ons.
If you plan to pair LinkedIn with cold email, see how the channels compare in cold email vs LinkedIn outreach, and use our LinkedIn message templates to fill the sequence.
Integrations and CRM Sync
Expandi lists native HubSpot, Salesforce and Pipedrive connections, plus Zapier, webhooks and API credentials. HeyReach lists HubSpot, Clay, Zapier, Make, n8n, an API, webhooks and an MCP server. Expandi has no native Clay connector; a third-party guide describes a webhook workaround (directional). For Clay users that makes HeyReach the smoother path, which we walk through in pushing Clay leads to HeyReach.
Neither tool lists Close CRM. If Close is your system of record, you will connect through webhooks, Zapier or the API; our HeyReach and Close guide shows one route. To keep LinkedIn and email activity in one CRM, read syncing cold email and LinkedIn data to HubSpot.
Which Should You Choose?

| Build lists in Clay and push them to LinkedIn | HeyReach |
| Use Close CRM | Either, through Zapier, webhooks or the API; test first |
Frequently Asked Questions
Is HeyReach or Expandi cheaper?
For a single account, HeyReach lists $79 per sender per month on monthly billing ($63 yearly) and Expandi lists $99 per month ($79 equivalent on annual billing). Check both pricing pages before buying, since they change. At agency scale HeyReach publishes flat tiers and Expandi does not, so you need a sales call to compare.
Which is better for agencies?
HeyReach publishes Agency and Unlimited tiers with white-label options and free client seats. Expandi has an Agency plan starting at 10+ seats with roles, client reporting and its own-brand option, but pricing goes through sales. If you want to know your cost before a call, HeyReach is easier to evaluate.
Do both run in the cloud?
Expandi describes itself as cloud-based with a dedicated country-based IP. HeyReach assigns a dedicated proxy per sender on Growth, but we could not confirm its architecture on a vendor page, so ask support before relying on it.
Which one supports voice notes and email steps?
HeyReach lists voice notes and connects to Instantly, Smartlead and EmailBison for email. Expandi lists email follow-ups inside sequences and does not mention voice notes on the pages we read.
Which integrates better with my CRM?
Expandi lists native HubSpot, Salesforce and Pipedrive. HeyReach lists HubSpot, Clay, Zapier, Make, n8n and an API. Neither lists Close, so Close teams should plan on webhooks or Zapier. See our guides to HeyReach and HubSpot and HeyReach and Close.
Is LinkedIn automation safe with either tool?
No tool removes the risk, because LinkedIn restricts automation in its terms. Both enforce per-account limits and use proxies, but neither vendor page publishes numeric daily caps. Start with low volumes, ramp slowly and read our LinkedIn outreach limits guide.
