TL;DR
Instantly and lemlist are two of the most common names in cold outreach shortlists, and they are often compared as if they were the same product at different prices. They are not. One is optimised to push high volumes of email through many mailboxes cheaply. The other is optimised to sequence a prospect across email, LinkedIn and phone. Which one is “better” depends entirely on which problem you have.
We run cold email and LinkedIn outbound for B2B clients, so this comparison is built around what changes your results and your bill. We already publish detailed pricing guides for Instantly and lemlist, and a head-to-head of Smartlead vs Instantly; for the wider field see our best cold email software roundup.
Sourcing note: prices and plan details were read from each vendor’s pricing and integrations pages in October 2026. Where a claim comes from a vendor help article we could only see in summary, or where the vendor’s own pages disagree, it is marked (directional). Several per-tier gating details did not render and are listed as unconfirmed rather than guessed. Vendor pricing changes often — reconfirm before you buy.
Choose Instantly if your programme is email-first and you need volume: many mailboxes, many domains, high monthly send counts and the lowest cost per email. Unlimited mailboxes and warmup on every Outreach plan is what makes it the default for agencies and high-volume senders.
Choose lemlist if the sequence itself is multichannel — an email, a LinkedIn visit and invite, a voice note, then a call — and you want that in one tool with two-way CRM sync. You pay per user for that capability, and you accept lower raw email volume per dollar.
Use both only if you have a reason: some teams send volume email from Instantly and run a small, high-touch account list through lemlist. For most, running two sequencers just splits your reply data.
Instantly sells Outreach (sending) and Leads (credits) separately, with bundles on top. These are Outreach plans:
| Instantly Outreach | Monthly billing | Yearly billing (per month) | Emails / month | Contacts |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Growth | $47 | $37.60 | 5,000 | 1,000 |
| Hypergrowth | $97 | $77.60 | 125,000 | 25,000 |
| Light Speed | $358 | $286.30 | 500,000 | 100,000 |
| Enterprise | Custom | Custom | 500,000+ | 100,000+ |
Every Outreach plan lists unlimited mailboxes and warmup. Enterprise adds a private deliverability network and a dedicated account manager. Instantly also sells bundles (Outreach plus credits), but its component prices do not add up cleanly to the bundle prices on the page, so we do not quote bundle maths; price the two pieces separately.
| lemlist plan | Price (yearly billing, per month) | Seats and senders | Volume and channels |
|---|---|---|---|
| $55 (list $69) | Unlimited users and senders | Up to 50,000 emails/month; email only | |
| Multichannel | $87 (list $109), priced per user | 5 senders per user | Unlimited emails and messages; email, LinkedIn, SMS and calls; WhatsApp is an add-on |
| Enterprise | Custom | 5+ senders per user | Adds SSO/SAML, custom roles, activity logs, dedicated account manager |
We did not see lemlist’s monthly-billing prices, so compare yearly to yearly. lemlist’s own pages also disagree on trial length (14 days in the FAQ, 30 days in a banner), so check before you sign up.
lemlist (verified on its pricing page): Multichannel and Enterprise include LinkedIn automation (profile visits, invites, messages, voice notes, InMail), SMS, in-app calling with a power dialer and VoIP integrations (Aircall, Ringover). The Email plan is email only. LinkedIn limits suggested in lemlist help content are about 20 invites, 30 profile visits and 30 messages a day (directional — we saw this in summary); keep to conservative limits whichever tool you use. Our LinkedIn limits and account safety guide explains why.
Instantly: it is positioned as email-first, and we found no LinkedIn, SMS or call steps on its homepage or pricing page. Treat that as “not found” rather than proof they do not exist, and verify in a trial if you need them.
If LinkedIn is a major channel for you, the stronger pattern is usually a dedicated LinkedIn tool alongside your email sender — see our LinkedIn automation tools comparison and cold email vs LinkedIn outreach.
The honest point on deliverability: neither tool saves a bad list or a bad domain setup. Infrastructure, authentication and volume discipline matter more than the sequencer. Start with our SPF, DKIM and DMARC setup guide and how many domains and mailboxes you need.
Both bill a second meter for leads:
| Instantly | lemlist | |
|---|---|---|
| Database size claimed | 450M+ leads, waterfall enrichment from 5+ providers | 650M+ leads, email finder, verifier and phone finder |
| How it bills | Credit plans from $47/month ($37.60 yearly); credit plans scale into the 10,000–200,000 range | Credit add-on from $16/month yearly for 2,000 credits; buying-intent signals add-on separate |
| Example credit costs (directional) | About 1 credit per verified email, 2+ for waterfall partners, 0.25 to verify | About 5 credits to find and verify an email, 1 to verify, 20 for a phone number |
| Credits expire? | Monthly credits expire after about 2 months (directional) | Unused credits roll over while the subscription is active |
Do not budget from the headline plan alone. If you buy lists from a separate source, our guides to building a B2B cold email list and email verification tools may cost you less per contact than either tool’s credits.

| Your situation | Better fit | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Agency or team sending 50k+ emails a month across many domains | Instantly | Unlimited mailboxes and warmup; volume tiers up to 500k+ |
| Small team, personalised sequences mixing email, LinkedIn and calls | lemlist Multichannel | All channels in one sequence |
| Email-only, budget-sensitive, under ~5k emails a month | Either; compare yearly price | lemlist Email gives more volume per dollar at small scale |
| Close CRM in the stack | lemlist | Listed integration vs Zapier for Instantly |
| Need DFY domains and pre-warmed inboxes | Instantly | Sells infrastructure; none found at lemlist |
Instantly is usually better for high-volume, email-only programmes because every Outreach plan includes unlimited mailboxes and warmup. lemlist is usually better when sequences mix email with LinkedIn and calls, and when you want two-way CRM sync.
At entry level Instantly Growth is $47/month ($37.60 billed yearly) against lemlist Email at $55/month on yearly billing, but Instantly caps Growth at 5,000 emails while lemlist Email allows 50,000. Compare at your real send volume, and add lead credits to both.
lemlist Multichannel includes LinkedIn steps, SMS and calling. We did not find LinkedIn steps on Instantly’s pricing page, so confirm in a trial or pair Instantly with a dedicated LinkedIn tool.
Yes. Instantly includes unlimited warmup on all Outreach plans and lemlist includes lemwarm on all plans. Warmup does not fix poor authentication, bad lists or aggressive volume.
Both offer lead databases (Instantly claims 450M+ and lemlist 650M+) but bill them separately on credits. Budget for credits in addition to your sending plan.
lemlist lists two-way sync with both HubSpot and Salesforce. Instantly documents HubSpot and Pipedrive connections and reaches Salesforce through a third party. Always test what actually logs to the CRM before relying on it for reporting.
