TL;DR
- lemlist is a sender; Apollo is a database. lemlist runs email, LinkedIn, SMS and calls in one sequence. Apollo finds and enriches contacts, then sequences them with lighter tooling.
- Pricing models differ. lemlist lists Email at $55 a month (unlimited users) and Multichannel at $87 per user on yearly billing. Apollo's paid plans are roughly $49 to $119 per user (directional), plus credits.
- LinkedIn is the clearest gap. lemlist lists LinkedIn automation. Apollo creates manual LinkedIn tasks.
- CRM fit. Both connect to HubSpot. Only lemlist lists a Close integration; we found none from Apollo.
Teams searching for lemlist vs Apollo are usually deciding between two different jobs: sending outreach and finding the people to send it to. They overlap because both can run an email sequence, but they were built around different cores.
We already compared Instantly vs lemlist, Smartlead vs lemlist, Apollo vs Instantly and Smartlead vs Apollo. This is the missing head-to-head.
Sourcing note: lemlist details come from its pricing, integrations and lemwarm pages, read in October 2026. Apollo's pricing page did not show plan prices when we read it, so Apollo prices, credits and limits come from secondary sources or our earlier research and are marked (directional). Vendor database sizes are unaudited claims. Confirm everything on the live pages before buying.
The Short Answer
Pick lemlist if your outreach is multichannel (email plus LinkedIn plus a call) and you want it in one sequence, or if you have a large email-only team that benefits from flat, unlimited-user pricing. Pick Apollo if finding and enriching contacts is your bottleneck, you run moderate volume from a few mailboxes, and your reps want data, a dialer and sequences under one login. If you can afford two tools, build the list in Apollo and send from lemlist. Avoid Apollo Basic as your main cold email sender: it is limited to one mailbox (directional).

Pricing: Volume or Seats
lemlist
lemlist lists the Email plan at $55 a month ($69 on monthly billing) with 50,000 emails a month and unlimited users and senders. Multichannel is $87 per user per month ($109 monthly), with unlimited emails and messages, five senders per user, LinkedIn and SMS automation and a built-in dialer. Enterprise is custom. Lead enrichment is a separate add-on at $20 a month ($16 yearly) for 2,000 credits, and buying-intent signals are $29 a month ($21 yearly) for 100 signals. Our lemlist pricing guide goes deeper.
Apollo
Apollo has Free, Basic, Professional and Custom tiers on its page, and secondary sources add an Organization tier at about $119 per user on annual billing with a three-seat minimum (directional). Credits are pooled, granted each billing cycle and do not roll over. Sources conflict on credit counts and monthly prices, so we leave exact credit numbers out. See Apollo pricing for the fuller picture.
Sending, Mailboxes and Deliverability
lemlist's Email plan allows unlimited senders, and Multichannel allows five per user. Apollo's Basic plan reportedly allows one mailbox and 250 sends a day, with more mailboxes on higher tiers (directional). Apollo's help center now recommends about 50 emails a day per mailbox on a rolling 24-hour window (directional), so plan volume around mailboxes, not the headline cap. For the maths, see how many domains and mailboxes you need.
lemlist's FAQ says its warmup, lemwarm, is included in all plans, and the free trial does not include it. Apollo lists warmup and deliverability tooling billed through credits (directional). Neither tool fixes list quality or DNS. Read deliverability monitoring and the Gmail and Yahoo sender rules before scaling.
Multichannel: LinkedIn, Calls and More
This is where the tools diverge most. lemlist's Multichannel plan lists LinkedIn automation and SMS, a built-in call dialer and a WhatsApp add-on. Apollo sequences can include manual LinkedIn and call tasks, but those are tasks for a rep rather than automation (directional). If you automate LinkedIn at volume, mind the platform's limits: see LinkedIn outreach limits, and compare dedicated tools in our LinkedIn automation roundup. For channel strategy, see cold email vs LinkedIn outreach.
Data: Where Apollo Is Strongest
Apollo's pitch is its database: it states 240M contacts and 30M companies. lemlist states a 650M+ lead database, but enrichment is metered through credits you pay for. Treat both numbers as marketing. Coverage varies a lot by region and role, so export a few hundred contacts from your ICP and verify the emails before judging. Our guides on email verification tools and building a B2B cold email list cover that process.
CRM Fit: HubSpot and Close
Both connect to HubSpot. lemlist's integrations page lists a two-way HubSpot sync, and Apollo describes a native two-way sync (directional). For Close, lemlist's page says it syncs campaign activity to Close, while we found no Apollo-built Close connector, only third-party tools such as Zapier or Make. Test a Close sync with a small list before you commit. Step-by-step guidance is in lemlist + HubSpot, Apollo + HubSpot and Close CRM cold email integration.
Who Should Pick Which
- Choose lemlist for email plus LinkedIn plus calls in one sequence, or for a big email-only team that wants unlimited users.
- Choose Apollo if prospect data is your problem and your volume is moderate and spread across a few mailboxes.
- Choose both if you have budget: Apollo for data, lemlist for sending.
- Look elsewhere if you need very high volume from many mailboxes. See our cold email software roundup.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is lemlist or Apollo cheaper for a team of five?
It depends on the channel. The lemlist Email plan is $55 a month with unlimited users, while five Multichannel seats cost about $435 a month on yearly billing. Five Apollo Professional seats come to roughly $395 a month on yearly billing (directional). Add credits to both before comparing.
Does Apollo automate LinkedIn the way lemlist does?
No. Apollo creates LinkedIn tasks that a rep completes by hand, while lemlist's Multichannel plan lists LinkedIn automation. If LinkedIn automation is the goal, a dedicated tool such as HeyReach is another route.
Which tool has the bigger database?
Apollo states 240M contacts and 30M companies, and lemlist states a 650M+ lead database. Both are unaudited vendor claims. Export about 200 leads from your own ICP from each and verify them before you trust either number.
Do lemlist and Apollo integrate with HubSpot and Close?
Apollo describes a two-way HubSpot sync (directional) and we found no Apollo-built Close connector. lemlist's integrations page lists both HubSpot (2-way sync) and Close. See our guides for lemlist and HubSpot and Apollo and HubSpot.
How do their warmup and deliverability tools compare?
lemlist's pricing FAQ says lemwarm is included in all plans, though the free trial excludes it. Apollo lists warmup and deliverability features billed through credits (directional). Neither rescues a bad domain or a bad list, so start with SPF, DKIM and DMARC setup.
Can I use Apollo and lemlist together?
Yes. A common pattern is to build and verify the list in Apollo, then load it into lemlist for sending. This is a reasonable setup rather than a vendor-endorsed one, and you pay for two tools.
